The Townshend Acts
stamp act failed. parilment tried again with townshend act
on july 2, 1767, the townshend act was passed.
the townshend is an external act. this was in order to cancel out the stam act which was an internal tax
resistance was met in the colonies. that prompted the british troops. and the conclusion was the boston massacre
parilment repealed new taxes but the tax on tea was retained.
after the boston tea party british troops were placed in boston.. soon war broke out
