Canadian Government
Canada’s government system is Democracy. That way the people get to choose who they want to run things around here!
All of the Citizens of Canada have the Right to: Apply for a passport, Run in elections ,And vote in elections.
The Senator people are appointed by the Governor General on the recommendation of the Prime Minister.
The House of Commons Jobs are to make the laws and tell us about National problems
Michelle Jean is Canada’s Governor General. She is the Queen’s Representative, so if the queen couldn’t go, Michelle Jean would go for her! Her Responsibilities are to make sure that Canada always has a government. That is sure important!!!
Steven Harper is Canada’s Prime Minister. He is the leader of the people in power. Wow that sounds that sounds scary. His responsibilities are to go to Cabinet meetings, and meet with foreign officials, also to answers questions in the House of Commons.
