Examples: 1) Without plotting the point, what quadrant would point (-2, 4) go in? 2)Without Plotting the point, what quadrant would (0,-11) go in?

Example: Plot the following points on the graph and name the quadrants they are in: A(-4,3) B(3,6) C(-1, -8) D(0,0)

Vocabulary: ~Ordered Pairs- points or (x,y). ~X-intercept- the point where the line crosses the x-axis or when y is 0. ~Y-intercept- the point where the line crosses the y-axis or when x is 0. ~Scatter plot-a graph used to determine whether there is a relationship between paired data. ~Horizontal line- a line that goes left to right. ~Vertical line- a line that goes up and down.
