LUKE; Jesus was found by his parents teaching in a temple after being lost. Jesus was about thirty years of age when he was baptized. Biblical scholars describe the Baptism of Jesus by John the Baptist as the beginning of Jesus' public ministry as the beginning of Jesus' public ministry. In this ritual he took bread and wine in hand, saying: this is my body which is given for you and this cup which is poured out for you is the New Covenant in my blood, then instructed them to do that in remembrance of him. Following -Jesus and his disciples went to pray in the Garden of Gethsemane Jesus was there arrested by temple guards on the orders of the Sanhedrin and the high priest, Caiaphas Judas Iscariot- betrayed Jesus by identifying him to the guards with a kiss. Simon Peter- used a sword to attack one of Jesus' captors, cutting off his ear (according to Luke) Jesus immediately healed miraculou sly.
