Caroline B. Cooney was born on May 10. 1947. She was raised in old Greenwhich, Conneticuit. She was married at the age of twenty and has 3 chlildren and is now divorced.. She attended Indiana University from 1965-1966. But then decided she wanted to be a nurse and she attended Massachusetts General Hospital School of Nursing from 1966-1967. She also attended the University of Conneticuit in 1968 as a music major, but didn't complete the degree. She started writing short stories but they always sent them back. She finally got one of her short stories put in the magazine Seventeen She wasen't going to write novels since they always got rejected so when she had an idea for a novel, she sent it an outline of it and it got accepted. In 1979 she finished her first novel, Safe as a Grave. Caroline now lives in New York and still continues to write novels and please us with stories of mystery, murder, and romance.
