Memories
I sat in a chair, looking at thee. Your Mud brown eyes staring back at me, The ones with swirls of golden trees, So child like they set me free. The ones once filled with warmth and glee, Made it hard to really see, Who you and I have come to be. But now they stare like a questioning child, Making my heart feel like a rifting power has taken over and made me sour. I knew it mustn’t be, The day you said those hateful words to me. I knew at once you were a lying flee I needed to escape from thee. However, you had a power over me, So strong I could not be, Who I thought I would someday be. But now you are there and I am here. Tears gripping my throat, I am trying hard not to beg. I wanted you to be apart of me Now, all I see is broken memories.
