6
months old today
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord. Psalm 150:6
Can you believe that my baby is actually six month old today? Goodness sakes, I'm not sure that I can! We achieved two milestones today, too. Kalei rolled from her back to her tummy for the first time, AND the really big one - she cut her first tooth! No wonder my poor baby has been so miserable. Not only has she been sick, she's been cutting a tooth! Maybe after this there will be some peace. I admit I got a bit discouraged - for goodness sakes, my baby is a good baby, she never cries or whinges! Last week though was a nightmare. I guess it was just everything happening at once. Thank the Lord that Aaron didn't get sick, that would have been tragic. I'm finally starting to feel better, I've slept with Kalei three times today. I even made Aaron get all his own things for work, and slept. He came and kissed us goodbye, and said something, but to be honest, I don't remember what it was. Aaron's even going to make dinner tonight which is nice. I had hoped that would mean that I could get online and talk to my family instead of having to cook, but ... they're not here. Oh well. Aaron keeps saying that he 'doesn't believe in getting sick'. Whatever. I'm very thankful he's not, but honestly. Granny has said a couple times 'I won't get sick in the Name of Jesus', and I just wonder whether they realize just how condeming it is. So yeah. The other week we did a skit in church (my cell/ladies group being 'we'), and it was about witnessing. It was a lot of fun. I was supposed to be some girl waiting in a doctors office, who gets a call and finds out that her mother's cancer has returned. Juanita was a religious Christian who was s'posed to try and get me saved, though of course she more scared me away. Jamie was a zealous Christian, and she really played it up, going on about how my Mother and me needed to be filled with the Holy Ghost, then speaking in tongues and stuff. Of course, I was just freaked out by that. Then Rachel had accidently over heard our conversation and told me that she was sorry about that, but she just wanted to give me a hug, and she hoped everything would be okay. It was a lot of fun, and I think everyone really liked it. I'd meant to get Aaron to video it, but I forgot at the time. Boo hoo. Once Kalei and I are fully better, depending on what Granny thinks about it (after all, I do spend a good deal of my time in her house) I will probably be taking care of another baby who's about half Kalei's age for $80 a week. Aaron really wants me to help out in the financial department, and I think I will try it out, even if I don't end up doing it long. You never know until you try, right? The babies Mom works with Aaron, so it will be his work hours, which is handy.
