One year and two days She's gone without seeing his face Without contact in anyway But you hear no complaining from her mouth She walks in the room Brown hair flowing with ever step Loveliness is what all eyes would consume She felt them watching and felt pure Her twingling blue eyes gazed across the room she wasn't sure if he enrolled or not The heels on her feet lead her to her seat And all she could do was thank God he had not The warning bell rang as kids started to class As they piled into her class she watched And when she blinked and looked again Her worst nightmare had come true He was back Her gazed met his loving stare He saw her and finally realized what he had let go All she realized was that the world went black
