Desdemona
Desdemona is Othello's loyal wife. She is important because Iago is setting her up to make it seem like shes having an affair with Cassio. By the end of the play Othello gets so jealous he kills Desdemona. And the sad part is the reason he killed her was because he thought she was cheating on him. When actually she was loyal to Othello.
never lov'd Cassio but with such general warranty of heaven . 59-60 IV ii
Your wife, my lord, your true and loyal wife. V ii 33-34
