The Planet Neptune
One of Neptune's rotation on it's axis takes 16.11 hours. Neptune is 4,504,300,000 kilometers away from the Sun. Neptune is a medium size planet. It's mass is 17 of Earth's mass. (or in other words: 1.0243x10 to the 26 power) If a 100 lb person was on Neptune, They would weigh 119 lbs.
The planet Neptune is the eigth planet in the Solar System. Neptune was discovered by a man named Johann Gotfried Galle on September 23, 1846. Neptune was named after the Roman god, Neptune.

Neptune has a thick atmosphere that has 74% hydrogen, 25% helium and about 1% methane. Neptune's atmosphere has icy clouds and enormous storms. Cool Fact: Neptune has the fastest winds in our Solar System. Kewl Fact: Icy particles of methane in the outer parts of its atmosphere give Neptune its deep blue color. Why? The methane absorbs red light.
It takes 164.79 Earth days for Neptune to orbit the Sun.
Cool Fact: Since Neptune was discovered in 1846, it has not yet completed a single revolution around the sun.
The mean temperature on Neptune is 48 K

Neptune is one of the Solar System's GAS GIANTS. Neptune has a small solid core of a rockish material about the size of Earth surrounded by a layer of liquid, which is probably water, that has methane and ammonia in it . Neptune does have rings. They were discovered by the Voyager 2's images. The rings are made of rocks and dust.
Neptune has 13 moons. The biggest one is named Triton. The rest of Neptune's moons are much smaller than Triton. Gerard Kuiper discovered a moon named Nereid in 1949. Other moons named Despina, Galatea, Larissa, Naiad, Proteus and Thalassa were found by the Voyager 2 spacecraft in 1989.
A human would not be able to live on Neptune. The atmosphere would choke them and the liquid would kill them. The gravity would be bearable, just slightly more uncomfortable.
