Crete lays 60 miles southeast of Greek mainland. By 20000b.B. minoans began to build large, richly decorated palaces.
To the right there are two arrows that are pointing to different things. The red arrow is pointing to the capital of Greece which is Athens. The blue arrow is pointing to Crete or the birthplace of the Minoan Culture.
