PLOT In the story there are two orphans a girl named Gurl and a boy named Bug and the most helpful kitten in the world named noodle. All of them come across some strange things. Gurl can blend in with anything, and Bug can fly. The story is about a different world and how Gurl and bug try and live a normal fun life. In the story a few unusual things happen try putting yourself at the bottom of a tower with no chance of escape but with only a cat and being at least five meters below a window. The big climax of the story is when a man sees Gurl and it reminds him of his lost daughter, the way it ends is when she finds he is her long lost father. The beginning of the story is a little mysterious and dramatic.
CHARACTERS The Main characters are Gurl and Bug. They are both outcasts and both very shy. I think I find Gurl a little more sympathetic. The relationships in the book are quite strange. I think sometimes in the book attitudes change, and then it becomes easier to change.
COMMENTS ON STYLE The book was written in first person. It makes it very important to the book because it describes the feelings of Gurl in a very complex way. The story was a very good story because there is very good detail and more description than many books. I think the most important point of the book is when Gurl finds out she is a Wall.
GENERAL I don’t think that there is no particular reason that Laura Ruby wrote the book but it was a very good. I thought very relieved a bought what happened at the end. I think compared to most books I’ve read this was more accelerating. I also think that the book was also at a first point of view I thought it confusing but then I thought it was extremely grabbing.
