In Flanders Fields In flanders fields the poppies grow between the crosses row on row. that mark our places and in the sky the larcs still bravely singing fly. We are the dead short days ago we lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow loved and were loved and now we lie in flanders fields Pick up our quarrel with your foe to you, from failing hands we throw the torch, be yours to hold it high if ye break faith of us who die we shall not sleep while poppies grow in flanders fields ~John McCraie
I obviously didnt write this poem .... so anyways ... i just wanted to make this glog cuz its almost Rememberance Day and living in Canada... its a pretty big thing. I know it doesnt always seem like it but as you grow up Rememberance Day starts feeling different. I've always knew about Rememberberance Day but when I was younger i just felt that Rememberance Day was just a day where we'd have a ceremony at school so we wouldnt have to do work. But now ... this year as Rememberance Day apporaches I realize how important it is. I actually stop and think about all those soldiers who died for us so many years ago. And that without them there wouldnt be us. I know that you and I have probably here just about everyone in your life say
it but then when you actually realize how much those words can mean ... you will understand why everyone says it and how important it is. Nothing we can do can repay those who died but we can still support those who are still fighting for us. Donate a dollar or two and buy a poppy. Go and help around and about. It means alot to those you help. And someday someone will return the favour. Someone will help you in a way that you never thought would happen.
Its only two minutes . . . so please!!
