I chose to research metallurgical technicians. Metallurgical technicians test the strength and durability of different metals. These technicians are very important in the process of making a bow. There is a very slim chance that the bow could warp it's shape from all of the tension if it isn't strong enough. It is more likely, however, for the cams or bowstring to go before the bow itself. I don't believe I would pursue this job. It sounds to dry and repetitive for my liking. I might get interested if I were to work for a bow company but I would never want to work somewhere like a construction site. The job's outlook in the United States is poor but almost everywhere else in the world is looking for more metallurgical technicians so it is good if you don't mind working outside the country. The average annual salary of a metalurgical technician can be anywhere between $50,000 and $70,000. The education needed for this profession is a 4 year bachelors degree.

The company that creates these bows is Hoyt. Since there are no official Hoyt shops, you must visit a hunting supplies store or an archery and gun shop kind of like the Kittery Trading Post. The shop I go to is called Big Al's Archery. This store is not a chain. It is located at 146 LaFayette Rd. Seabrook, NH 03874. This shop sells everything to do with archery from custom-made arrows to silencers to bows to broadhead arrow tips, to quivers and even crossbows. There is also an indoor archery range in the back of the store and a virtual reality range upstairs. The employees are very friendly and will help you with any problem you may have. When you leave the store, you know exactly what you purchaced. There is no trickery or persuasion by the employees. Everything is explained for you.
