The 1994 Season : What Could Have Been
Details of the Strike:
Players walked out on August 12, 1994.
The rest of the season, including the World Series, was called of on September 14. (Eigth work stoppage in baseball history).
Owners Demanded a salary cap, while players refused
Strike lasted for 234 days, going into the spring of the 1995 season
The 1995 season resumed on April 25, under the expired contract.
Strike ended when a federal judge issued an injucntion against the owners
