Life is a funny old thing It makes us cry, it makes us laugh and sing But the main thing life brings us is sadness and pain Because we fall in love this makes us happy or insane We do irrational things in life that gradually bring us down If we look at people's faces they either wear a smile or a frown ''Grab life with both hands'' my mother once said ''Because the next thing you know you could end up dead'' I guess that's good advice i thought, i should've listened to myself But just like a stupid little girl i left myself on the shelf Life is such a precious thing that we don't make the most of it I look at life and think what a sack of shit I never made the most of life i hate everyday that goes by I know i have lost out on so many things it makes me wonder why Why i never grabbed with both hands and made myself smile I'm hoping one day i will look in the mirror and see i'm not so vile I know i'm not a bad person and have brought everything on myself I know one day things will get better and i'll leave my dusty shelf
