I’ve always felt I didn’t belong I’ve always felt it didn’t matter I’ve always felt like closing in on that one thing that made me madder We all have our problems And We all have our pain We all wish we could be through Of the things that cause us strain The headaches, and the heartaches They break and beat us down But if we stand together They wont push us to the ground I know that this wont change things That they’ll always be the same But maybe if we all hold on We will all just feel the rain The rain that washes down on us That clears the good and bad That makes us feel refreshed sometimes And clears away the sad It feels like its from heaven above And connects us everywhere It holds us all together Through every rip and tear
Even though it hurts sometimes Even though it scares us We will always feel the rain both beautiful and ferocious Because isn’t that what peace is about? Not glamorous but wonderful? When everyone is safe and calm And the world just seems beautiful? But even though its not right now Even though we haven’t found it We will always stay searching For that one candle to be lit The last candle of the flame of life The candle of the earth The one that will burn down that wall And bring us to our worth The world that everyone seems to want But never can remember Where we all have that one true love That fire lit ember
