Michelangelo
Michelangelo was born March 6, 1475 and died February 18, 1564during the high renaissance period. He was born in a town called Caprese. Michelangelo at a young age showed no interest in schooling or studying. He had his mind set on being an artist. Later Michelangelo studied sculpture under Bertoldo di Giovanni. When he was old enough, Michelangelo moved to Rome and created some of the greatest works of art the world has ever known. Michelangelo is famous for many different things. He has created world famous art and architecture. He was known for creating masterpieces such as the statue of David and the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. He was also known for being one of the first to paint and sculpt the human body in full detail and texture. Lastly Michelangelo was for famous his architectural design. He designed St. Peters Basilica in Rome.
