Swing Dancing in the 1920s Swing dancing was very popular during the 1920s, and still is. During the German oppression, swing dancing was banned, so the swing dancers created secret parties where they could preform their favourite hobby.
The Technicolor image above is of two swing dancers The swing dancers to the left, right and bottom left are doing the form of swing dancing called Jive. The magazine cover to the bottom right is from 1943, but it shows the dancing style well.
