HI I'M MARIAH AND FOR MY SCHOOL PROJECT I AM DOING CHINA . I PICKED CHINA BECAUSE IT IS AN INERETING COUNTRY.
NIAN THE MAN EATING MONSTER One day a year on new years a decideed terrible monster called NIAN would wake up hungrey from his deep sleep at the bottom of the sea. On this day , villagers would hind in the mountains to avoid becoming his meal.But one year an old lady deciede to fight nian in refenge for her son who hade been eaten the year before. Days before that faithful new years eve a god disguised as a poor man came to the village begging for food. The old lady was the only one in the village to help him. touched by her kindness he taught her how to fight the monster .He told her that nian hatted 3 things red objects loud noises and fireon new yrs the old women decored her dor whith red paper and made lots of noises chopping meat in her kitchen . mean while the god set off fire cracers and danced in red robs starledn by the loud noise fire snd bliding red coulour nian fled to the sea never to reurn. today chines people still celebrate by doingall those things.
