In an LCD Tv there are liquid crystals in between a sheet of polarized glass and a mirror or backlight. An LCD that can show colors must have three subpixels with red, green and blue color filters to create each color pixel. These colors light up by having an electrical charge sent through them and once lit up create over 16 million colors, when the seperate pixels compide they create a picture
Advantages - Bright images - Less power than others - No ''burn in''
Disadvantages - Bad display with dark colors - Limited veiwing angle - Slow response time (slower reactions in video games and moves)
