LCD Tvs work by blocking out light and only letting the desired light through two polarized panes of glass. Depending on how much electricity is running through the tv, liquid crystals unwind and let light appear. The liquid crystals align with the polarized glass and create a picture on the screen.
Advantages: -Usually come with steroes and such built in -Better screen quality than CRTs -Flat screen -Less Bulky
Disadvantages: -Quick movements are often too much for the tv to handle. -The picture is often of poor quality -The angle for viewing is limited -Pricey for quality
