PLASMA
Thousands of very small cells of xenon and neon gas are contained between two sheets of glass. Display electrodes are located across the front sheet of glass, horizontally. Address electrodes are located across the back sheet of glass, vertically. The rows of electrons form a grid and as the gasses pass by the intersections on the grid, they are ionized and form the picture on the screen.
Burn-in may occur when a still picture is left on the screen for too long. Also, they are much more fragile than other t.v.s but not a great deal lighter.
Relatively expensive compared to other types of tvs. Prices range from under $1000 for smaller screens to $70,000 for a 103 inch screen
A very wide screen is created using very thin materials. Also, because each pixel is individually lit, the picture is extremely good and bright from almost any angle
