Gun Safety
During 1791, the Second Amendment was ratified, which is to carry guns and form a small militia. In the 1800’s many Americans became fascinated by sharpshooters and gunfighters, including Wild Bill Hickok, Calamity Jane, and Annie Oakley of Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show. In 1871 Union Army Officers, William Church and George Wingate found the NRA (National Rifle Association) to encourage rifle shooting on a scientific basis
In 1968 gun control laws were finally passed after Martin Luther king and Robert Kennedy were assassinated. In 1974 the NCCH (National Council to Control Handguns) was founded by Dr. Borinsky. Late in the history of gun safety, during the year 2000, Smith and Wesson agree to make changes to their safety designs on their guns. The federal assault weapon ban expired in 2004. In 2005 the people of Florida could then protect themselves in public or at home. Thanks to the “stand your ground” laws.
Rules should always be treated like a second nature when it comes to guns. Never point a weapon at anything or anybody you do not intend to shoot. Keep your finger off the trigger and the gun on safety unless you intend to fire. When you shoot something you intend to shoot it. If your finger is on the trigger then you intend to fire. The last rule is to keep the gun pointed in a safe direction, up or down if not intending to shoot anything or anyone.
If your gun is pointed at a door then you intend to shoot the door. If your point your weapon at a person, then you intend to shoot that person, Whether or not the person meant to shoot anyone, they take the fault for being in control of the gun.

Classes are also being performed; Gun safety classes are mandatory as well as hunting safety classes. Back ground checks are mandatory for whenever someone is buying a gun. Changes are always being made, Gun companies are being forced to make more and at the same time add safety features. Gun companies are also being forced to come out with better designs’. Laws are always being made, different kinds of guns are always being banned because of the way people use them. Laws of where you can and cannot take guns are also being made .
