what had happened and she came around. We went for a walk but she didnt know what to say or do, it was making me feel better just knowing that she was there when i needed her. Being in the house of the next few weeks was weird, it was the home my dad had worked really hard to get for us and he had only got to spend four years there. I kept expecting him to come up the stairs and tell me to turn my music down or to come out of his bedroom and tell me to stop straightening my hair i was ruining it. I got seriously depressed over the next couple of years and did some things i shouldnt have. I messed up my A levels in college and I ended up dropping out, i hung around with guys i shouldnt have and i even ran away

at one point. I knew all i was doing was hurting my mum, but i couldnt cope properly and i wasnt able to talk to her the way i used to with my dad. I made a new friend and helped me through lots of things but im not sure if he realises that he kind of saved my life, before i met him i didnt really know what to do now hes my boyfriend. I still have my moments when i scared and depressed because i cant remember what my dads voice sounds like or what he looks like. But i know i'll never truly forget him. Im determined to make something of my life and make my dad proud of me in every way. I know hes not going to be there to walk me down the ailse at my wedding and hes not going to be when i have children but i know

shattered! I couldnt cry properly for him i couldnt accept he was gone. We were all put in a family room while the nurses moved his body to the bed. Then me my mum and sisters and his brother all went to put a rose next to him. I remeber looking at him and thinking that it wasnt him, it was just a shell he wasnt there anymore and then i felt the sensation of him being behind me almost like he was in the top corner of the room lookking down on us all. When we got home there was loads of family and friends at our house, crying, hugging, sharing stories and getting drunk. It made me so mad to think that they could already accept it and talk about it so easily. I had to get out of there. I called my best mate in tears telling her

he will be watching over me, smiling. At the moment i am kind of reliving my memories of my fathers death as my grandad has just died and it has just brought everything back to me. I'm getting through it though with the support of my boyfriend. I've made this glog to let other people out there who are in the same situation as me know that they are not alone. Its been nearly four years since he died but im still working through it. It will take time for me to be totally happy and able to accept it fully. I hope this can help some people.

My dad was full of life, the kinda guy that laughed and joked, told stories, was there for everybody. Now he seemed completely different he looked weak, fraile, he just sat there staring into space mumbling and banging his hand. I sat next to him for a while holding his hand listening out for his breathing and feeling his pulse in his arm. I noticed them slowing down, i knew then that it wouldnt be long before he died. He took a really short breath and then there was a nothing for a while and then he breathed again. I couldnt do it, i couldnt sit there while he died. 31st October 2004 The day my dad died he was 49. At the age of 40 my dad was diagnosed with emphysema, i didnt think that nine years later i would have to say goodbye to him, My dad was taken to hospital with shortness of breath. The next day me and my sisters where allowed in to see him, he seemed his normal self, telling jokes and messing around, he only had a chest infection. Then two days later me and my sisters were called up to the hospital to see him, by the way my mum spoke on the phone i knew something bad was happening. At the hospital i realised my dad was dying all of his family were there. I went into his room and saw him sat in the chair, but it wasnt him, not to me.

i never really knew my dad he died when i was only 4 days old but i still miss him its been so hard to grow up without him he died when he was only 25 years old the past its been 16 years since he died it is so hard but i pull through....i love u dad i miss u everyday and just wonder what if....
