Wanting to rid these vile thoughts Because I have no other proof that I even exist My future, which I thought I’d managed to grasp, Is a contradiction between my dignity and freedom The reason I want to wipe away this distorted after-image Is that I see my own limits within it In the window of my overly self-conscience self Is last year's calendar, with no dates on it I'll erase it! And rewrite it! Worthless, utter illusions....
