1920's Fashion
Accessories: Women: Wore long beaded neckalaces, garders, and headbands. Men: Wore cuff-limks. They also wore hats.
Hats:The Cloche was the hat of the decade worn straight and low over the forehead. Most were made of felt, straw, silk and horsehair along with synthetics. The cloche hat was bell-shaped. Cloche is actually French for bell. Different styles of ribbons indicated a message about the wearer. For example, a firm knot meant marriage .
Art Deco: ~Included: architecture, interior design, industrial design,fashion, painting, the graphic arts, and film. ~Based off of geometric shapes and designs. ~Used materials like aluminum, stainless steel, lacquer and inlaid wood.
Clothes: Women wore flapper dresses, which were short, and like no other dresses from the past.The women that wore these usually listened to jazz and were associated with partying. The Flappers were like nothing from ever before, the woman drank, smoked, and drove cars. They also were what you would call party animals. Men wore began to wear more sport clothes. They also wore short suit jackets. Pants were narrow and straight and were worn short, so that you could see the socks. Knickers came about during this period. Men wore top hats, flat caps, and trilby hats.
