The unicorn that we believe now is a mix of what others have imagined. Although the look of a unicorn has changed, it's principals of nobility, selflessness, and purity still remain strong.

The unicorn myth still exists today!

Unicorns!

The unicorn's horn is said believed to have a special healing powers and also poison.

The Unicorn Myth began with the early Pagans, then branched off into Medievak Europe. Europe was domited by Christians and when the unicorn myth had reached them, it had become a symbol of Christ.

The horn of a unicorn was a prized possesion. Since it was so rare, there were many hunters after the horn of the unicorn. Since a unicorn would only go near the purest of humans, hunters would get fine maidens to sit in the forrest in hopes to attract a unicorn. When the unicorn approched the maiden, hunters would jump out of hiding and cut off the horn.

The unicorn from medieval Europe was thought to look like a goat with a tail of a lion, and a large horn from it's head.

The one weakness that the unicorn had was a Lady in which stayed in a cave. These were often called the Virgin or the Lady of the Unicorn. When a unicorn saw this woman, they'd walk up to her and lay their head in her lap. Only the purest of humans could have this power over unicorns.

Unicorns were believed to be representing the purity of the sun.
