Journal entry: I am trying hard to stay alive. Please help me! If anyone comes upon this camp, do not leave. I am out searching for food. I do not think that I am going to make it because I am starving.
Personal response: The entire time reading this book, I could tell that something bad would happen to Chris. When he went into the wild, it was almost like he knew he would not make it out alive. What I admire most about him, is his persistance in following his dream. What I dislike is his lack of preparation for the conditions in the Alaskan wilderness.
