The mill slowly grew i popularity as the Industrial Revolution hit and as the mills grew bigger and more efficient the cotto farmers were moving west to try and find more land to plant cotton on. Thiswestward expansion was another result of the ndustrial Revolution.
The Industrial Revolution and the invention of the cotton gin caused the cotton industry to become extremely prosperous. Cotton became the main crop in the South and farmers wanted more land. To get that land, they moved west. and took the slaves with them.
The Industrial Revolution itself refers to a change from hand and home production to machine and factory. The first industrial revolution was important for the inventions of spinning and weaving machines operated by water power which was eventually replaced by steam. Industrial Revolution
Slavery increased drastically during the Industrial Revolution. Cotton was the main reason for that increase. Along with the cotton gin which also made slavery more popular among the cotton farmers.
Andrew Jackson was the president of the United States at the time of the Indusrial Revolution. He had a plan that he thought would allow people to prosper. But he did not think about the African Americans at all. He proceeded with his plan. Began Jacksonian Democracy.
