Instead of having students create posters with messy glue and construction paper, we can save trees and fights over the black marker by using Glogster as a tool for creating visual media for assignments and projects. Art elements and principles of design are a huge factor in using this Web 2.0 tool and could be taught from the site. From choosing a background, to arranging text, pictures, to picking a color scheme, using Glogster would be a very effective learning tool for an art class. Other classes could benefit from Glogster as well. By using it create visual aspects of projects, students would learn to navigate through different tool options on the site and problem solve and troubleshoot with technology in general.
