well ok its only his accepted birthdate just like the whole world accepts that jesus was born on the 25th december Oad, when actually he was more likely to be born in march/april because thats when they did the census that made joesph and mary go to bethlehem, and it was 6bc or 4ad not 0ad because the census was every 10 years (but yea my bad for getting st. georges day wrong but who celebrates tht nowadays?

no... i'm sorry, but you're wrong st george's day is just the accepted birth date that people celebrate there's no documentary record of his birth, only of his baptism on april 26th so it's just celebrated on st george's day (which by the way is the 23rd!!!! not the 26th!) scholars reckon that shakespeare could have been born on the 22nd of april as well! it's been recorded that he died on the 23rd of april but there's evidence that his family regarded the 22nd as a special day "Shakespeare's grandchild Elizabeth, who knew him well, shared his last home and received a bequest in his will, chose to marry on April 22 1626, 10 years after his death. If Shakespeare had been born on St George's Day, Dr Weis suggests, Elizabeth would surely have chosen to marry on that date. And when she became ill after visiting London she returned home on the 22nd - hurrying back, he believes, for the birthday celebration." (THE GUARDIAN) AND his memorial tells us he was 53 when he died so he must have been born on or before the
