Prologue. There was a man who suffered a horrible loss at a young age by his own brother. For revenge he set around the world gaining power, knowledge, and the ability to control the dark creature that haunts his soul. We shall learn the story of this man through his life till the bitter end. This is the story of Godric Hayes. We begin 11 years before his final stand. Chapter 1: The Bitter Beginning A young boy age 7 is running home “Oh shit I’m going to be late for dinner” he says. He does not notice that even though the sun is just setting his village is deathly quiet. As he runs home he does not sense that every step he takes someone is watching him. He is looking at the street signs as he runs waiting to see his neighborhood White Lotus Rd. As he runs he begins to think where are the neighbor boys. He would always race them on the way home from school. As he sees the street sign he rounds the corner to see a horrible mess. Blood and bodies everywhere, Godric is speechless he thinks this is all a bad dream. “No this can’t be who would have done this”. Hearing the slow breathing he runs to the sound hoping that not everyone is dead. He comes to the body of his uncle; His uncle has a deep hole in his chest and is on the verge of dying. “Uncle what happened who did this to you”? It was you're… your… br… Godrics uncle leaves life in the weeping boy’s arms. “I have to tell mom and dad” he says, “Hang on uncle you can’t die yet I’ll go get help”. As he runs home keeping his guard up, in case of ambush. Clutching the little knife he found near the body of one of his neighbors, he sprints home. When he gets there he slams open the door and yells “someone anyone help!” When no one answers he looks around the house for his mother and father or even his older brother Mansas. He runs around the house finally ending at the door of his mother and fathers room; He opens the door to see his mother and father lying on the floor. He runs to his father unaware that someone was hiding behind the door. While listening to his fathers slow beating heart he hears the muffled breathing of someone behind him. Without looking he throws the knife at the intruder. The Intruder deflects the knife with his sword and says “pitiful I thought mom and dad would be a better challenge”. “What do you mean? Who are you? What do you want”? The large man steps out of the shadows to reveal himself. “Mansas you did this? How could you?… Why would you?” “Well little brother I came across a very strong ability that I just found out about. I thought I would test it out”. “You killed the whole village just to test your ability. What kind of monster are you”? He lunges for the little knife hoping to strike his own brother “I’ll kill you”! He screams, “oh Godric you would kill your own brother” “You are not my brother” he retorts. “Well if you insist on dying so much I think I’ll have a little fun before I kill you”. Suddenly his eyes change shape “this is what I did to everyone else” he says. Suddenly Godric is thrown in the middle of town he sees everyone being killed not by his brother but by his own hands. Then he sees himself killing his mother and father. Suddenly he is back in the room with his brother. “Cool isn’t it. It’s a way of torturing someone until they beg for death”. Godric runs from the room then. Fleeing from Mansas, his parents, everyone, “I don’t want to die” he yells. He then falls to the ground after the knife he once used to try to kill his brother is thrown into his leg. Mansas walks to where his brother is laying on the ground. “Your weak, you run from your family when they drown in their own blood” Mansas coos. “Please… don’t kill me” Godric says, “you don’t deserve to feel the relief of death”, I don’t even want to be near you. You disgust me” he spits. “But I will leave you with a parting gift to remember me by”. Mansas bends down and sinks his teeth into Godrics neck. As Godric screams from the burning in his neck Mansas kicks him until he quiets down. You don’t have enough hate to kill me. Maybe if you walk this earth as a ghoul you might have the stomach the next time to kill me”. “A ghoul that’s what you just did to me”? That’s right he grins. It should take effect as soon as I’m gone. Don’t die on me ok I want to test that monster out when it’s fully developed” he sneers. Then he is gone in a flash leaving Godric writhing in the pain of his new transformation. f
