She looks out the window, Her eyes a blank stare, The life that could have been, The odds just weren't fair. She looks out the window, The snow seems so pure, How much more in this life, Will I have to endure? She looks out the window, There is a whole world out there, Only if she had dared.

She looks out the window, The snow melts in the sun, She whispers to herself, I can do this there are many more to come. She looks out the window, She wipes the tears off her face, Gathers herself, Smiles at a warm embrace, And walks away from the window.
