1. Minerals are Naturally Formed: Minerals form naturally inthe earth. This includes eruptions of volcanoes and liquids that turn into solids.
2. Minerals are a solid: Liiquids and gases cannot be a mineral because they are constantly changing and are not able to keep a crystal like structure.
4. Minerals and specific chemical composition: All minerals have a chemical composition which is a chemical formula to be able to make certain minerals. Each mineral has a different formula
5. Minerals and Characteristic Crystal Structure: They crystal structure of minerals is the way the atoms arrange in the structure. All crystal structures can are different.
3. Minerals are formed by an Inorganic Process: Fossils from something that was once alive and buried go through an inorganic process from their living tissues.this composes minerals.
