Blood Cells
Blood trasfusion is the proscess of transferring blood or blood-based products from one person into the circulatory system. Blood trans fusions can be life saving in some situations, such as massive blood loss due to trauma, or can be replaced blood lost during surgery.
The circulating blood functions as a carrier, bringing the various kinds of cells to the regions of the body in which they are needed. The difference between red blood cells, white blood cells, plasma and platelets. Each type has a specialized function: red cells take up oxygen from the lungs and deliver it to the tissues. Platelets participate in forming blood clots. White blood cells are nucleated and they do not undergo mitosis in the blood stream, as a group they are involved in the body's defense mechaninisms and reparative activity. the plasma is a complex solution containing more than 90% water.
