***EKADASHI*** Ekadasi refers to the 11th day ater full moon & new moon.on these special days devotees(bhakts) fast (vrat). Benefits of fasting :: 1.it gives one a taste of renunciation. 2.it gives the system a rest.the physiological system may overworked due to over-eating,fasting help to catch up. 3.helps us practice self-discipline in eating. 4.keep the body light & stomach free so that we can meditate better.

Oh my frnd!! wat r u cooking 4 me!!?!!

Oh my Lord!! today is Ekadashi. I'm cooking for u : samo khichdi ,apple smoothie ,kuttu ke pakode.

INGREDIENTS: samo/varai................................................2C water..................................................................5C roasted peanuts.......................................3/4C ghee.......................................................................3tsp. cumin seeds ,green chilies ,salt ,sugar...........1 ,1 ,2 ,1tsp. curry leaves....................................................................10-12 grined coconut...........................................1/2C coriander lvs..........................................................................2 tsp. fresh lemon juice.........................................................1 tsp.

Kuttu ke Pakode!@!

DIRECTIONS: 1 . Heat d ghee in a saucepan.when it bcom hot, add cumin seeds.when seeds darkens a few shade ,add green chilies & curry leaves.Saute 4 a while. 2 . Now add samo & roast it 4 3-5 minutes. Pour d water ,stir 2 mix & bring it 2 a boil. add salt & simmer ,uncovered ,cook stirring to often avoid samo stick to d bottom of d pan. cook until it softens & bcom little mushy. 3 . Finally add peanuts ,lemon juice ,coconut & sugar. SERVE HOT WITH FRESH DAHI!!.-(As it's an Ekadashi dish ,so we cannot serve with daal, serve with rassedar paneer ya rassedar aloo ki sabzi,vrat wali sabzi.)
