My Little Protector

I was six when I first saw you, I couldn't wait to pick you up and wrap my arms around you. I remember I wanted to name you cutie, but someone came up with a name that suited you absolutely. You came off of the streets, because mom said that you needed to eat. From that day on you found yourself a home, where you could be played with and loved and go wherever you wanted to roam. You were one of the few cats who loved their bellies rubbed, and you rarely found people that you snubbed. You were my little protector when I was alone, sometimes I wished you had a clone. You loved your little naps, it didn't matter to you if it was on the furniture, floor, or peoples laps. I remember you always had your say, when nothing went your way. I dredded the day when I got that fateful call, mom was crying and said you weren't doing good at all. She had to put you down because you were very ill, she would of saved you but could not pay the costs of the medical bill. You grew up to be old and very wise I still remember the way you looked at me with those kind and caring green eyes. Out of all the cats I will ever own. I will remember you as the one who stuck by me whenever I was alone. -R.I.P Tiger. 1997-2008
