Course Description:This is a one semester elective course that is designed to expose students to a widevariety of technology, computer applications, found in today’s world. Students will begin with instruction on computer touch keyboarding skills. This course will introduce students to basic technology operation and technology concepts; technology communication tools; technology resource tools; multimedia presentation applications; word processing, spreadsheet, and design applications. These skills will be integrated across the curriculum as they continue through their academic and professional lives.This course also explores important aspects of computer hardware and software to make students knowledgeable users and consumers. An awareness of computer ethics will cover legal and moral uses of the computer and the impact it has had on our society and the world around us.
