Among the Hidden
Among the Hidden Among the Hidden has a setting of a small town in the future. In a part of the small town, there is a particular forest that a small boy named Luke Garner lives in. Luke Garner is a third child who is illegal because of a Population Police law. To Luke the outside is his treasure. But when the Population Police force the Garner family to sell the woods to build houses for the Barons, Luke's treasure is taken away and he has to stay inside. Luke is very shy and skittish because he has never been around anyone besides his mother,father, and his two brothers, Matthew and Mark. Luke wants to be in the outside world, but he knows the government would kill him if they found him. Soon, he meets a girl named Jennifer(Jen) Talbot who is another third child that organized a rally against the government.Unfortunately she was shot in the rally and so were the other 40 third children that went to the rally. The villian in this story is the Population Police(government) ,who made the law that caused Luke to go into hiding. In the end, Luke meets Jen's dad,George Talbot, who gives him a fake I.D. and Luke leaves his family to go to Hendericks School for Boys as Lee Grant.
