Team SMART Goal - Coordinate on-going training and coaching of Teams members on AT. Strategies & Action Steps - Develop a web-based training site (Wiki format - D Wolfe) and Peter will provide a list of the items AT lending library to include. Responsibility - Deb Y. will provide Diane W. with powerpoints and 1 page software tutorials to be posted on Wiki. Carol will send links to other AT sites to link to Wiki. DIG-AT members will bring their website recommendations that will be added to Wiki. Timeline - Oct-23-08 Evidence of Effectiveness - Completed web-site that has training available on specific AT topics. Strategies & Action Steps - Provide regularly scheduled trainings opportunities Responsibility - October meeting - Peter 2:00: classroom suite; Jan. - Louisa - Thomas Jefferson Elem.: smartboard, March - DIG-AT present on Reading or Writing softwares (10 mins.), Apr. - Window s Accessibility: Carol & Deb Timeline - 23-Apr-09 Evidence of Effectiveness - Completed trainings & tutorials placed on Wiki for future reference. Team SMART Goal - Support division Assistive Technology Teams in assessing and implementing AT. Strategies & Action Steps - Increase knowledge of members ability to assess AT needs. Responsibility - Guidelines coming out - to be provided in Jan. 09 from VDOE Timeline - Jan-09 Evidence of Effectiveness - Number of divisions adopting the guidelines or similar process to assess AT needs for students. Strategies & Action Steps - ITRT presence at DIG-AT meetings and training activities Responsibility - DIG-AT members bring a counterpart from their divisions Timeline - During 2008-09 Evidence of Effectiveness - Number of ITRTs present at DIG-AT meetings Strategies & Action Steps - pilot in-service project on universal design in one/two divisions that canbe replicated in other divisions next year that utilized AT/technology to differential instruction for all students. Responsibility - DIG-AT members and AT facilatator/specialist will select and provide division level training to be used throughout the remainder of the school year. Timeline - During 2008-09 Evidence of Effectiveness - Development of an in-service model that can be provided by a team of members on universal design and its implications for use with students requiring Assistive Technology.
