Clostridium perfringens
It is found in high protein foods like meat products stews, soups, gravies, and milk. To a lesser extent, poultry products, pork, lamb, fish, shrimp, crab, legumes (beans), potato salad, and macaroni and cheese may contain Cl. perfringens.
What is it? It is a foodborne illness found in foods that aren't stored the right way.
Interesting Facts symptoms occur during 8 to 24 hours after consuming a contaminated meal. They usually last a single day, but less severe symptoms may continue for 1 to 2 weeks.
How to prevent it...... Store foods properly or put in refrigerater if needed.
