Please Scroll Down ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ It felt, as if for only a second, that it actually was. The careless whispers throughout breaks, a deep defying gaze into each other’s eyes as the world faded away through space and that those gaspy smiles we shared that no one must know. It was not, never . . . For if I grasped onto that forever, believing those deep tawny-emerald orbs flare of words, I would be lost in an eternity of heartbreak but a thought lingered wordlessly in my abyss of a mind: What if? I laughed shamelessly, what was I thinking? I know it better than anyone that we travel in packs through some type of unfamiliar code that we worship and for one to stray away from it, was unheard of because not one dared break a code that they did not know. It had become our little dark secret. Something that was never supposed to happen, but I could not stop it. For once in my life, a pair of eyes never could have been more perfect and imperfect and I despised the feeling instantly. My heart leaped as my breath came out in laboured pants, my knees buckled and I felt . . . complete. It terrified me! I feared that I might be near death for I have not once felt something that powerful. I wanted to run up to him, grab him at the collar and scream, to tell him to stop messing with me but I couldn't for I just met him. . . 'Is something troubling you?' He whispered, out of breath. Emotionless, he stood and closed his eyes, waiting. I smiled faintly, knowing that I can never lie to him. 'I was just wondering when we'll tell them all about us.' The words barely escaped my tongue; it was hard, acting like we hated each other. He opened his left eye; a tawny-emerald stared straight though me and I could not want anything more than to smile, but forced myself not to when his disappointed frown shined towards me. 'You know I can't!' He screamed, his face twisting painfully. 'No one must ever know about this, about us or death! You promised when this started that we'll keep it a secret for your sake!' He turned away from me, his back breathing wildly. I felt ashamed and wanting nothing more than to cry, but I could not. He would never be able to look at me again in the same way: eyes filled with undying love. I ran, wiping away the few tears that escaped. They were not needed, never, for he did not hurt me. His back faced me and I could not accept it, no matter how much I wanted him. His shirt looked heavy; silk never seemed as such a bother before as I wrapped my thin fingers around his bicep, turning him animally to face me again. He was twisted in pain as he scrunched his eyes tightly, thin lines replaced the smooth layer skin and still, he looked perfectly imperfect. I caressed my hands ghostly towards his devastatingly bewitching face, thinning out those tiny wrinkles. He did not dare to look at me and for once I did not care, what only mattered now, was us. It grew colder as the autumn leaves danced lovingly against the wind, fighting to land peacefully against the chilly pavement. I shivered; my slow shallow breaths came out in harsh pants as I pulled him closer, warmth embracing me again. It grew silent, the swishing of the wind rocking against the bark of trees, the clattering footfalls and the random chatter of passerby’s as they kept an eye on their screeching children, all faded away . . . They could be together, no more secrets. For a moment, this desperate moment that she wanted to last a hundred lifetimes. No one could tear them apart; there was no code to follow and no death to be sentenced. . . Nothing existed anymore, nothing but them. 'I love you' They were Forbidden Together.
