My Black Fortress
As my light goes out for the night. I feel myself falling deep into a slumber. A dreamless slumber. No not dreamless just dark dreams of my life without one such as you. You are my heart. You are my soul. You are my love. But may I ask you a question my love? Who are you and why arent you with me always? I do not know where to find you but i will not stop looking for you. Rest assured I will find you one day. But I know today is not the day. Mayhaps tomorrow is the day. I will find you before I die. But will you accept me for me if not then I fear I have not found my love. Alas I am doomed to wander my world alone and unloved. But to all who enter here welcome to Elseweyr. You may stay as long as you wish but please do not step into my black fortress. I fear you may never exit it again if you do. For you see I have not fully begun to explore it and there are still many unexplainable tragedies. Hidden to all including myself. As I expore my fortress I am finding that there are many dark halls with which no one may enter alone. My fortress is dull black and always drenched in rain. I fear for myself and the ones I love. The fear i feel is only rivaled by Death himself knocking upon my chamber door. But I know my love will be able to relight my fortress. To relight it as it once was long ago. For my fortress to be relit is all my life needs to be completed. My home here in Elseweyr is no longer a home but a prison I believe. A prison from which I will never be free. And I am my own prisonkeeper. I know of no ways out of my home. No secret ways out of my dungeons. I am trapped evermore in this state of unrest. I am a prisoner evermore for a crime I committed millenia ago. I am forever sorry my love. I leave you now. But I leave you my black fortress. In the hopes that it will serve you well. I hope you can enjoy the master bedroom. I left you a note somewhere in there. Hope it finds you well. I wish you the best of luck in love and in life. Hoping that you lead a life better then i have. My love I give you my black fortress in the hopes it will help you know my mistakes. And I dearly hope you not follow them. My Black Fortress is now yours.
