The Outsiders By S.E. Hinton
Johnny kills the Soc!!
My first thought was... OH NO!! Their going to kill Ponyboy!! My next thought was... WHAT!?!?!?! Johnny wouldn't kill anyone! My thrid thought was... What are they going to do next?
These thoughts are explained by the following facts... 1. The Soc was holding Ponyboy's head underwater in the fountain. 2. Johnny stabbed the Soc that was trying to kill Ponyboy, even though he is extremely timid. 3. The fuzz would be on thier tail if they stayed.
Two-Bit says that a 'just-fight' is a fight between two even groups, without weapons. This was not a 'just-fight.' Johnny was justified in using his knife because Ponyboy would have did if Johnny hadn't had used his knife. The boy's didn't turn themselves in because they were too young to be tried as adults. Dally helped them because he didn't want Johnny to harden up in jail.
