The Volkswagen Transporter, a van which in today's society has no place with its classic, rundown, and goiing nowhere appereance. You could easily compare its appearence to that of Christopher Sly'. He is a drunken bum whos life has no direction and is just drifting from one alcohol induced sleep to another every day of his life.
If Christopher Sly was an ice cream flavor, he would certainly not be anything sweet, but since most ice cream doesn't fall under that category, i felt that considering his drunkeness, Rum Raisin was a great depiction of the kind of person he is.
Which restaurant gives off a dirty, disease ridden reputation? The answer is Chi Chi's, and that dirty, rotten appearence and reputation is just what that bum Sly gives off in the pub, which he is so gracefully passed out inside of.
Christopher sly can be compared to Shrek because of their appereance,s. Shrek is a rundown, old, angry ogre whos only worried about what has to with him.. Sly is the same way, only doing what he feels and what is in his best interest. This may have led to his drinking problem.
He breathes, my lord. Were he not warm'd with ale, This were a bed but cold to sleep so soundly.
Christopher Sly is a drunken man whos only purpose in this entire play is to provide an instance of comedy for the Lord, which he does by passing out and getting a trick played upon him. He is not mentioned much after this but he does make us wonder why Shakespeare would even put him into this play, but he does make this play funny, no doubt about that.
