The first word in this song is Fall . Just in case you were wondering . . . This song felt like it should have been McMurphy's theme song, his refusal to submit even beyond the end, even after the final procedure he still wanted to fight, he fought the system until he died.
I Will Not Bow - Breaking Benjamin Fall! Now The dark begins to rise Save your breath it's far from over Leave the lost and dead behind Nows your chance to run for cover I don't want to change the world I just want to leave it colder Light the fuse and burn it up Take the path that leads to nowhere All is lost again, but I'm not giving in I Will Not Bow, I Will Not Break I Will shut the world away I will not fall, I will not fade I will take your breath away Fall! Watch the end through dying eyes Now the dark is taking over Show me where forever dies Take the fall and run to heaven All is lost again, but I'm not giving in I will not bow, I will not break I will shut the world away I will not fall, I will not fade I will take your breath away And I'll survive, paranoid I have lost the will to change And I am not proud, cold blooded, fake I will shut the world away You're right!
Sanitarium - Metallica Welcome to where time stands still No one leaves and no one will Moon is full, never seems to change Just labeled mentally deranged Dream the same thing every night I see our freedom in my sight No locked doors, no windows barred No things to make my brain seem scarred Sleep, my friend, and you will see That dream is my reality They keep me locked up in this cage Can't they see it's why my brain says rage? Sanitarium, leave me be Sanitarium, just leave me alone Build my fear of what's out there Cannot breathe the open air Whisper things into my brain Assuring me that I'm insane They think our heads are in their hands But violent use brings violent plans Keep him tied, it makes him well He's getting better, can't you tell? No more can they keep us in Listen, damn it, we will win They see it right, they see it well But they think this saves us from our hell Fear of living on Natives getting restless now Mutiny in the air Got some death to do Mirror stares back hard “Kill,? it's such a friendly word Seems the only way For reaching out again this song's description of insanity closely resembled some of Cheif Bromden's descriptions of living in the asylum and being insane.

I Will Not Bow - Breaking Benjamin
one flew east, one flew west, one flew over the cukoo's nest
This is Vincent Van Gogh's Painting Trees in the Asylum Garden. He painted it while staying in the St. Remy's Asylum which he checked himslef into in 1889. This painting is of the view from his asylum window. It reminded me of CHeif Bromden face pressed up against the window looking out at the trees for what felt like the first time.
