BioGlog Simon Bolivar El Liberator
Bolivars early life was quite easy. However, at the age of nine, he had already become an orphan, and was sent to be taken care of by his uncle Carlos Palacios. He was then sent to Spain by his uncle to continue his education.

Simon, after completing his education, he then left Spain and ventured to Mexico and spoke greatly on Spanish American Independence.
Bolivar married in 1802, however, after returing to Spain his wife died of yellow fever. He vowed that he would never mary again, and his vow was never broken.
After a setback in the military of Francisco De Miranda, Bolivar had to flee Cartegena. He then wrote the Cartegena Manifesto where he urged that New Granda help free Venezueala from Spain. Bolivar was given permission by New Granda to invade Venezuela, and on August 6th proclaimed the second Venezuelan republic.
In 1819, Bolivar took up arms and crushed the Spanish in Colombia. Later he campaigned in Venezuela, Ecudor, and Peru. However, amongst breakout of great tension, Bolivar died in 1830.
