Germany produces grapes, which are not commonly found in the US. Germany uses this crop for their fine wines. This was also for the original use, also they eat the plain grapes without making it into wine. This plays a role in their society becase a sterotype of Germans is that they make tons of beer, but most people (in my opinion) don't know that they also make wines. That is how it makes a role in their society by showing that they also have fine wines becides their beer.
Germany dosen't really have any luxury crops. All of their crops are used for foods or wine or beer in Germany.
In Germany about one third of their food is imported. Things that are exported could be mostly anything that they have. The main one probally being beer and wine (barley and grapes).
