The CottonGin
The Cotton Gin was a very helpful tool used in the Industrial Revolution. It was used to remove the seeds from the cotton plants picked by the slaves.
Slaves were transported on very large boats to America. These slaves had no idea where they were going or if they would ever return back home one day.
Slaves were used to pick the seeds out of the cotton plants so the raw cotton could be made into clothing or other materials up in the North.
When white farmers moved west they took their slaves with them. This was to make sure the farmer had enough slaves for his new plantation.
